Qualifications

• Two (2) years of professional experience in natural resource planning, management, enforcement, outreach, or invasive species prevention.
• A Bachelor's degree in fisheries, wildlife, conservation biology, natural resource management, ecology, zoology, environmental policy, planning, or related field may substitute for one year of experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in project management, meeting facilitation, and planning.
• Ability to work professionally with internal and external partners and customers.
• Ability to manage long-term, complex projects and deliver products on a deadline.
• Collaborative skills to resolve conflicts and work with teams.
• Ability to perform outreach related to natural resources.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activities to target AIS pathways, including live organisms trade.
• Coordinate with partners to design interjurisdictional AIS initiatives.
• Coordinate revision of the Minnesota State Management Plan for Invasive Species.
• Assist with special projects and grant reporting.
