Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinicians by providing clinical care to select patients under supervision. The role also handles clerical tasks to keep the office running smoothly.

Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, performing tests (EKG, PFT, Audiometry, phlebotomy), maintaining records, and ensuring confidentiality. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; preferred MA program completed.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with diverse populations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Familiarity with computerized data entry and office software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, treatment rooms, supplies and instruments.
• Take patient vital signs and record in medical chart.
• Perform EKG, PFT, Audiometry, and phlebotomy as indicated.
• Maintain patient records and assist with billing procedures as needed.
• Use computer software to manage office systems and ensure confidentiality.
