Job summary

BTAS, Inc. is seeking an Intrusion Detection Monitoring and Incident Management professional for Scott AFB, IL. The role operates on-site 24/7/365 to support USTRANSCOM information systems and networks with a robust security posture.

The position requires 5+ years of SEIM-focused experience and CompTIA Security+ certification, with a strong emphasis on DoD policies and incident management practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience monitoring and identifying vulnerabilities, anomalies, and active threats using SEIM tools to analyze traffic data.
• CompTIA Security+ (ce) certification.

Responsibilities

• Review security data and correlate events from IDS/IPS, routers, NetFlow, and firewalls.
• Identify potential network attacks and share significant activity via SIGACT reports and AS&W tippers.
• Maintain configuration and integrity of IDS/IPS tool suite per policies.
• Develop and maintain security analysis scripts and analytic displays.
• Collect monthly metrics on intrusion detection activity and report to Government.
