Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Technologist to protect the nervous system during surgery. You will set up and monitor EEG/EMG/SSEP/MEP/BAEP, assist with patient preparation, and collaborate with OR teams to guide surgical decisions while ensuring patient safety.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year intraoperative monitoring experience and strong communication skills, with proficiency in MS Office/Google Suite. This full-time role is based in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1+ year of intraoperative monitoring experience.
• Experience with EEG/EMG/SSEP/MEP/BAEP.
• Strong attention to detail and calm under pressure.
• Clear written and verbal communication; proficient with MS Office/Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate monitoring equipment (EEG, EMG, SSEP, MEP, BAEP) to track neural activity during surgery.
• Prepare and position patients, apply electrodes per protocols.
• Continuously monitor neurophysiological signals in real time.
• Alert surgeons/anesthesiologists to changes indicating nerve risk.
• Document data to guide surgical decisions and ensure safety.
• Collaborate with OR teams and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Adhere to safety standards and organizational competencies.
