Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Vision is seeking a Machine Operator I to support intraocular lens production across multiple shifts in Jacksonville, FL. You will set up and operate manufacturing equipment, monitor quality, and document processes in a GMP environment.

Ideal candidates bring technical certification or an associate degree and experience in manufacturing; strong math, reading of procedures, and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations.
• Data entry and documentation in production systems.
• Ability to read and follow procedures and specs.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in repetitive tasks.
• Strong teamwork and communication in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor equipment to process intraocular lens production orders.
• Monitor machine performance and product quality; take corrective action as needed.
• Perform equipment checks, tests, measurements, and parameter adjustments.
• Use measurements to prepare equipment and evaluate process results.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform routine maintenance.
• Coordinate with team to maintain continuous production flow and line clearance.
• Record production orders, equipment logs, and quantities; ensure GMP and quality compliance.
• Follow GMP, EHS, quality, waste-handling and environmental requirements at all times.
• Set up production orders on the line and operate equipment used for lens production.
• Document required production information, PEG sheets, and process data.
