Job summary

Johnson & Johnson’s Vision team seeks a Manufacturing Operator to set up, operate, and monitor intraocular lens production equipment, including lathes, PEG equipment, cutting machines, microscopes, and optical benches.

You will ensure GMP adherence, safety, and quality while maintaining accurate production records and clean work areas. A technical certification or an associate degree is preferred, with weekend/shift availability and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience requirements as listed: technical certification or associate degree preferred
• Candidates with associate degree may qualify with one year general work experience
• Manufacturing Operator or similar production experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing equipment to process lens production orders
• Monitor machine performance, product quality, and process conditions; take corrective action
• Perform equipment checks, tests, measurements, and parameter adjustments
• Record production data and maintain logs and documentation
• Maintain clean, organized, inspection-ready work area and perform routine maintenance
• Coordinate with team to support continuous production flow and line clearance
• Follow GMP, EHS, and environmental requirements at all times
• Document, print, and review production information and equipment records
• Perform line clearance between PEG runs and replace PEG, SiCl4, and H2O cylinders as trained
• Ensure proper handling of reagents and waste per EHS requirements
• Use measuring devices to verify settings and evaluate process results
• Prepare equipment and verify settings for production orders
• Maintain traceability of quantities and process data
