Job summary

The University of Michigan Flint Campus is seeking student workers for part-time Intramural Official positions. These roles support intramural sports, tournaments, and special events, with training provided and no prior officiating experience required.

Shifts are in the evenings during fall and winter semesters on the Flint campus. Responsibilities include enforcing rules, checking in participants, recording scores and fouls, promoting sportsmanship, setting up activity areas, and attending

• Current UM-Flint student.
• Basic understanding of various sports.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within recreational sports.
• Previous playing, officiating or coaching experience.
• Certified MHSAA official in Football, Basketball, Soccer, or Volleyball.

Intramural Official (STUDENT/WORK STUDY)

The Department of Recreational Services is seeking students for part-time intramural official positions. Officials will facilitate a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for all program participants. There will be opportunities to officiate season long sports, tournaments, and help with special events. No officiating experience needed. Training will be provided for the various sports we offer. Shifts will take place in the evenings during the fall semester and winter semester.

Modes of Work

Onsite

The work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan.
