Description: The position of Interviewing Clerk OPS is a paraprofessional position assigned to the Office of Economic Self-Sufficiency with primary responsibility for reviewing applications to collect demographic information and/or provide information and referral services. This position is ideal for someone who has excellent computer/data entry skills, a high degree of organizational skills and enjoys the challenge of tight deadlines.
Location: Palm Beach. Applicants interested in working in counties/cities other than listed will need to apply for positions advertised for those specific areas on the PeopleFirst System.
Annual Salary: $34,760.00 annually.
Internal salary appointments are determined according to DCF Salary policy.
Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma or its equivalent and two years of clerical or public contact experience. College education from an accredited institution or vocational/technical training can substitute at the rate of 30 semester, 45 quarter or 720 class room hours for each year of the required experience.
It is the policy of the Florida Department of Children and Families that any applicant being considered for employment must successfully complete a State and National criminal history check as a condition of employment before beginning employment, and, if applicable, also be screened in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, F.S., and Chapter 408, F.S. No applicant may begin employment until the background screening results are received, reviewed for any disqualifying offenses, and approved by the Agency. Background screening shall include, but not be limited to, fingerprinting for State and Federal criminal records checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and may include local criminal history checks through local law enforcement agencies.
