Job summary

Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Veterinary Cardiologist with an interest in interventional procedures. You will practice advanced cardiology in a collaborative, multidisciplinary hospital supported by state-of-the-art imaging and an Interventional Radiology Suite.

You will mentor interns and residents, build referring-vet relationships, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state licensure.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Cardiology.
• Interest or experience in interventional cardiology procedures.
• Strong communication and collaborative teamwork mindset.
• Commitment to continuous learning and clinical mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced cardiology care for a diverse caseload of veterinary patients.
• Perform and interpret echocardiography, ECG, Holter monitoring, and advanced imaging.
• Develop and refine expertise in interventional cardiac procedures.
• Utilize advanced cardiac imaging capabilities and interventional suite for procedures.
• Collaborate with Surgery, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Diagnostic Imaging and Anesthesia.
• Mentor interns, residents, and support staff; participate in education.
• Build relationships with referring veterinarians and communicate clearly with owners.
