Job summary

Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Veterinary Cardiologist with a strong interest in interventional procedures. You will join a multidisciplinary team with access to advanced imaging and a dedicated Interventional Radiology Suite.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Cardiology preferred.
• Eligibility for state veterinary licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced cardiology care for a diverse caseload of veterinary patients.
• Perform and interpret advanced cardiac diagnostics including echocardiography, ECG, Holter monitoring, and advanced imaging.
• Develop expertise in interventional cardiac procedures based on clinical interests and experience.
• Utilize advanced cardiac imaging capabilities such as 3D echocardiography, TEE, and cardiac-gated CT.
• Collaborate with Surgery, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Diagnostic Imaging, Anesthesia, and other services.
• Support advanced minimally invasive procedures in the Interventional Radiology Suite.
• Build relationships with referring veterinarians through consultation and education.
• Mentor interns, specialty interns, residents, and support staff.
