Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System's Main Campus in Cleveland is seeking an Interventional Vascular Technologist to collaborate with vascular surgeons in minimally invasive procedures. The role offers daytime hours with on-call rotation and a supportive, world-class care environment.

The successful candidate will have ARRT registered radiologic technologist credentials, state licensure, BLS, and ideally vascular/interventional experience, with opportunities to grow in a premier academic health

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Registered Technologist credentialed by ARRT and in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or ARC.

Responsibilities

• Scrub in and perform vascular, interventional, and surgical procedures per protocol.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams for understanding and cooperation.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during and after exams.
• Demonstrate understanding of drugs used in IR, indications, contraindications, and interactions.
• Record and maintain procedural data including injection data and fluoroscopy time.
• Monitor equipment, clean and repair as needed.
• Learn new technical information through in-service programs and sessions.

A caregiver in this positionworksM-F| varying shifts|shared on-call rotationrequired, including approximately one primary call shift and one secondary call shift perweek, with weekend callapproximately everysixthweekend.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Utilize sterile or aseptictechniqueto scrub in and perform vascular,interventional,and surgical procedures per protocol.

• Educate patientsregardingprocedures,equipment,and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.

• Ensure patients safety and comfort during and after exams.

• Demonstrate understanding of primary purpose of drugs used in IR, indications, contraindications, contrast druginteractionsand major effects.

• Record andmaintainprocedural data to include injection data, elapsed fluoroscopictimeand procedural information.

• Monitor equipment, systems, cleanequipment,and effectstimelyrepair.

• Learn new technical information and skills through attendance of periodic in-service programs and participation in professional affiliation sessions.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduateofan accredited school of radiologic technology

• Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing

• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

• Certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography: R.T.(R)(CV)(ARRT) or Vascular-Interventional Radiology: R.T.(R)(VI)(ARRT)

• Prior CT (Computed Tomography)experience

• Comfortable interpreting cross-sectional anatomy during procedures

Physical Requirements:

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

• Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
