Job summary

Kids for the Future in Virginia Beach is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Interventional Radiology and Vascular Surgery practice. The role combines clinic visits, peri-procedural care, and hands-on procedures with increasing autonomy.

You will train with a lead APP and supervising physician, learn to interpret vascular ultrasound findings, and assess PAD and venous insufficiency to guide treatment decisions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program.
• Board-certified and licensed to practice in Virginia.
• Minimum 1-2 years of procedural experience preferred (Interventional Radiology, Vascular Surgery, Critical Care, or Emergency Medicine highly desirable).
• Comfortable with ultrasound-guided procedures and maintaining sterile technique.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient clinical visits for PAD, venous insufficiency, embolizations, and vascular consults.
• Perform pre- and post-procedure evaluations and follow-ups.
• Learn to interpret vascular ultrasound studies and integrate findings into care decisions.
• Collaborate with supervising physician, lead APP, ultrasound techs, and staff for coordinated care.
• Perform venous procedures independently as training allows (sclerotherapy, RF ablation, Venaseal).
• Provide patient education and ensure safety, documentation, and care coordination.
