Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a Radiology Diagnostic team member in Colorado Springs to support imaging, diagnostic and interventional procedures for cardiac and vascular conditions. Work is onsite with a flex shift and 80 hours per pay period, with a pay range of $35.91–$50.28 per hour, depending on experience.

The role requires ARRT(R) or Cardiac Technologist training, BLS, ACLS within 60 days, and fluoroscopy license within 6 months; RCIS/RCES within 2 years.

Qualifications

  • ARRT (R) or Cardiac Technologist program completed.
  • BLS through AHA/Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. Card valid through 60 days after hire.
  • ACLS within 60 days of hire; Fluoroscopy operator license from CDPHE within 6 months; RCIS or RCES within 2 years.

  • Assists physician with diagnostic/interventional cardiac and vascular procedures; supports imaging.

Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Flex

Pay: $35.91 - $50.28 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary

Supports/Assists imaging, diagnostic and interventional procedures to diagnose and treat cardiac and/or vascular conditions in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, draping and positioning the patient, preparing procedural/testing sites and administering contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Assists physician with performing diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac and/or vascular interventional procedures. Supports/assists related imaging procedures. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
  • Informs patients regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding. Seeks assistance related to patient condition changes in status.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Apply radiation safety standards and report equipment malfunctions.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED or graduate of a certificate, license or degree granting program, or post‑secondary educational program in a health science or Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist ARRT (R) program or Cardiac Technologist program.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in‑hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
  • ADDITIONAL POSITION LEVEL CREDENTIAL INFORMATION: ACLS within 60 days of hire. Either ARRT (R) upon hire or Fluoroscopy operator license from CDPHE within 6 months of hire and RCIS or RCES within 2 years of hire.
