Job summary

UPMC Williamsport is seeking an Interventional Technologist to join the Interventional Radiology team. You will perform specialized imaging procedures, collaborate with physicians, and contribute to patient safety and high-quality care. The role features a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 a.m.

to 4:00 p.m., no regular weekend work, and a $20,000 sign-on bonus with a two-year commitment. You will work with advanced imaging technology and participate in on-call coverage.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional imaging procedures with proper positioning.
• Administer contrast according to established protocols under supervision.
• Prepare patients for procedures, monitor status and ensure safety.
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers and time-out procedures.
• Review patient histories and orders to ensure optimal image quality.
• Maintain a sterile environment and aseptic technique during procedures.
• Educate patients about procedures and address questions with compassion.
• Document patient information and procedure details in the EMR.
• Ensure exams are properly coded, tracked, archived, and charged.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists for efficient care.
• Assist other imaging areas with general radiographic procedures as needed.
