Wellstar Health System is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to support the Interventional Radiology, vascular hybrid, and neuro-interventional services. The role requires performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, patient positioning, and adherence to sterile technique under supervision of department leadership.
Candidates should have ARRT and BLS certifications, with experience in IR procedures, radiation safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Functions under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator, Chief Tech, or Dept. Manager. The interventional special procedures technologist assists with providing safe, age-appropriate care to the patient by performing all exams provided by the department according to department procedures. The technologist has the knowledge and ability to safely perform diagnostic and interventional procedures. He/she is responsible for performing a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in the utilization of the equipment for the diagnosis and/or treatment of diseases. The technologist is able to independently perform job functions. He/she sets up the equipment to provide imaging service and positions patient for the procedure. The interventional tech 4 functions independently in the Interventional Radiology (IR), Vascular Hybrid, and Neuro-interventional setting and participate in the interventional call rotation.
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
Additional certification in Cardiovascular or Vascular Intervention Upon Hire Preferred
Minimum 4 years minimum interventional neuro experience Required orMinimum 2 years cardiology with 2 year of combined neuro experience. Required
Competency in all aspects of IR, Vascular, and Neuro Interventional procedures, patient positioning, exposure factors and radiation protection.
