Job Description

The Interventional Radiologic Technologist is responsible for circulating and scrubbing roles during procedures, patient teaching, and assisting with patient care. This part-time (0.8) position works weekdays between 7:00 am and 3:30 pm at our Woodbury clinic.

Essential Functions
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of radiological equipment & safety, shielding techniques, imaging skills, and troubleshooting.
  • Circulate and scrub during procedures, educate patients, assist with patient care within scope, manage inventory, and coordinate schedules.
  • Identify adverse events or unanticipated outcomes using critical thinking and notify medical staff accordingly.
  • Practice Radiation Safety per regulations, select appropriate technical factors, and apply knowledge of radiation physics to limit exposure.
  • Assist VIE Manager with data collection, documentation, and compliance records.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of specialty equipment as instructed.
  • Analyze and resolve problems to improve patient care and practice operations.
  • Initiate process improvement projects to enhance clinical practice and patient outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology Program.
  • VIR or CVIR certification preferred.
  • Experience as a Lead interventional technologist preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.

  • Work efficiently, communicate professionally, prioritize tasks, and operate equipment effectively.
