Qualifications

• Associates of Science required.
• 1-2 years RT experience required.
• 1 year Special Procedures preferred.
• RTR certification within one year of hire date.
• RCIS within one year of hire date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Required in 90 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge to provide care appropriate to any age-related needs of the patient being served.
• Maintains aseptic/sterile technique during invasive procedures per policy.
• Anticipates needs and provides procedural supplies and/or equipment to the physician.
• Proficient in arterial and venous access management.
• Proficient knowledge in the management of cardiac and emergency medication.
• Accountable for standards of care related to analgesia and/or moderate sedation.
• Compliant with Pyxis medication access per hospital policy.
• Accurately enters procedural documentation and patient charges per department guidelines.
• Completes required documentation in department's PACS.
• Routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment per policy.
• Work orders involving equipment are entered promptly.
• Staff education regarding care and operation of equipment is conducted annually.
• National certification/registry is maintained.
