Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Radiology Technologist I for the Interventional Radiology Labs in Illinois. The role requires ARRT certification, licensure, and BLS; ACLS within 6 months. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is paid in installments.

The position supports complex interventional procedures with emphasis on safety and high-quality imaging. Responsibilities include prepping patients, sterile technique, vascular access, imaging, documentation, and on-call coverage within 30 minutes for urgent

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Associate Degree in Applied Sciences.
• ARRT Certification and IEMA Licensure.
• Basic Life Support and ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of patient care to optimize safety and reduce errors.
• Conduct interventional procedure processes including setup, prep, procedures, and room turnover.
• Prepare by assessing patient data and providing clear instructions to patients.
• Assist with sterile setup, aseptic technique, and room cleanliness.
• Scrub in and circulate on interventional procedures with physicians.
• Manage vascular access, positioning, and imaging for optimal results.
• Document intra-procedural data and ensure billing entries are accurate.
• Coordinate scheduling and maintain stock, inventory, and equipment.
• Provide on-call coverage with 30-minute or less response for emergent cases.
