Job summary

Advocate Christ Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist for the Interventional Radiology Lab. The role involves positioning patients, acquiring high-quality images, and supporting complex neurovascular and vascular procedures under radiologist supervision.

Expected schedule is Monday–Friday, 4–10 hour shifts with shared on-call for overnight, weekend, and holiday coverage. The lab emphasizes safety and patient care with state-of-the-art imaging equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have attended an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology and be ARRT registered.
• Ability to interpret normal ranges on monitoring equipment.
• Ability to perform interventional radiology procedures with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient in proper positions to radiographically demonstrate correct anatomy.
• Obtains radiographic DSA and DA images for interventional procedures and transmits to PACS for interpretation by the radiologist.
• Sets up patient on monitoring systems and interprets basic monitoring data.
• Assists in complex interventional endovascular neurological procedures (aneurysm coiling, stent placement, stroke interventions).
• Performs procedures with radiologists, vascular surgeons, and other specialists; maintains sterile technique and room readiness.
