A leading health organization is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist Lead to oversee imaging operations, support staff training, and ensure adherence to safety protocols. The position requires strong communication skills and a proven track record in Vascular Interventional areas. Summary:
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist Lead is to be an advanced, experienced technologist within the IR department and able to demonstrate mastery of all hospital or clinical-level imaging competencies. The IR Technologist Lead is responsible for coordinating patient scheduling, and daily work assignments, and serves as a resource for the technologists in the diagnostic department. Helps to ensure operations function at top levels of efficiency and exceed customer expectations. The IR Tech Lead will help coordinate the training and development of the diagnostic radiologic technologists, keeping them advised of technological and procedure changes and participating in their growth and competency requirements. Observe radiation, personnel, and patient safety measures. Must be familiar with emergency situations associated with special procedures and must possess the ability to respond quickly and accurately to all situations that occur in the IR Department. Properly follows protocol in notification and documentation of all contrast/ medication reactions. Excellent communication skills are necessary.
