Job description

Interventional Radiology Technologist

Responsible for leading the diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired organ and vascular diseases through routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Angio-Interventional radiology or Neuroradiology service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide efficient and effective procedural support for a variety of patient procedures.
  2. Operate imaging systems for special procedures.
  3. Apply measures to minimize radiation exposure to self, patients, and staff.
  4. Achieve quality assurance standards, maintaining an error rate below 5% in image quality assurance.
  5. Maintain inventory and participate in continuing education.
  6. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Position Details

Compensation Range: $36.01 - $57.62 per hour.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiography program; Associate's Degree preferred. Must be eligible for ARRT (VI) certification.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
  • Licensure: Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT R.T.) required; ARRT (VI) certification within one year of hire. BLS certification required.
Physical Demands

Requires standing and sitting for prolonged periods, frequent bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Must have proficient communication, auditory, and visual skills; attention to detail; and ability to lift/push/pull 50-100 lbs. May be exposed to fumes, cold, heat, radiation, blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases.
