Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center in Upper Manhattan is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. You will assist Radiologists during OR procedures, handling and operating equipment and instruments while supporting patient care and tray preparation.

This full-time mid-shift role requires NYS radiography licensure, ARRT VI certification or eligibility, and strong proficiency with EMR, RIS, PACS and modality-specific software.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate AMA approved school of radiology.
• New York State radiography licensure and certified to inject contrast media.
• ARRT VI certification (or must obtain within 18 months).
• Continuing education credits per ARRT requirements.
• Minimum of one year experience in Diagnostic Imaging.
• Proficient in EMR, RIS, PACS and modality-specific software.
• Willing to respond for emergency examinations when needed.
• Complete 3 month department modality-specific evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Radiologists during OR procedures with equipment and instruments.
• Prepare patients and radiology trays for procedures.
• Maintain high-quality support in a world-class clinical team.

In this role, you will work on OR procedures assisting Radiologists including handling/operating equipment and instruments during cases in addition to patient and tray prep. While this is a technical position with no supervisory responsibility, you will play a critical role in maintaining our premier level of quality, in support of a world-class clinical team. Join us. Location is our Columbia campus in Upper Manhattan/Washington Heights. Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate AMA approved school of radiology
• New York State licensure in Radiography and certified by New York State to inject contrast media
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI). If not held, must obtain certification within 18 months of start date.
• Maintains continuing education credits per American Registry of Radiologic Technologists requirements
• Minimum of one year experience in Diagnostic Imaging
• Proficient in EMR, RIS, PACS, Modality specific software
• Must be willing to respond, if needed, for emergency examinations when available
• Must complete 3 month department modality specific evaluation

Salary

Salary Range: $54.58 - $65.47/Hourly
