Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our NYP/Weill Cornell team. The role involves operating specialized angiography equipment in the lab and supporting minimally invasive procedures for accurate diagnoses.

The position is full-time with day shifts. Candidates should have IR experience, NYS Radiologic Technology license, ARRT certification, and current BCLS. On-site work is required at NYP/Weill Cornell in New York City.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Radiology.
• New York State License in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT certification and BCLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of vascular anatomy/terminology and interventional equipment.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and barriers.
• Interventional Radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate Angiography equipment within the lab to support minimally invasive procedures.
• Assist in diagnosis and treatment planning for complex cases.
• Maintain high quality standards and patient safety in a fast-paced interventional suite.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure efficient procedures and workflow.

Interventional Radiology Technologist - Full Time - Days - Weill Cornell

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will operate specialized Angiography equipment within the lab. You'll have the opportunity to support and assist in minimally invasive procedures resulting in the safe and efficient diagnosis of patient conditions.

While this is a technical position with no supervisory responsibility, you will play a critical role in maintaining our premier level of quality, in support of a world-class clinical team. Use your expertise in Interventional Radiology to assist with the diagnosis of rare and complex cases. Expand your knowledge, alongside the most highly respected professionals in the field.

This is a full time day shift position based out of our NYP/Weill Cornell Hospital.

During the training period, the schedule will be Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Training typically lasts 6-7 months, depending on progress. After training is completed, schedule will transition to one of the following, based on departmental needs:

• 5 days/week: 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
• 4 days/week: 7:30 a.m.-5:15 p.m.
• 4 days/week: 8:45 a.m.-6:30 p.m.

Please note that the department is not open on weekends or holidays. A separate call team provides coverage during those times.

Preferred Criteria

• Prior Interventional Radiology experience in a hospital setting
• Advanced radiology certification
• Flexible availability

Required Criteria

• Graduate of an approved school of Radiology
• New York State License in Radiologic Technology
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of vascular anatomy/terminology and interventional equipment
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and barriers
