IR Centers is a multidisciplinary private practice endovascular lab providing interventional radiology services in outpatient settings across the U.S.

We seek an Interventional Radiology Technologist to prepare patients and rooms, assist physicians, and maintain sterile technique during procedures. Must have surgical technologist experience and HIPAA knowledge; ARRT/CST certification preferred. PRN, day shifts.

Formación

• High school diploma required.
• Valid BLS Certification required.
• Surgical technologist / scrub tech experience: 2 years.
• ARRT / CST Certification (Preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Prepares patients and procedure rooms for radiology procedures.
• Reviews patient orders to determine necessary materials and sets up/cleans procedure rooms.
• Assists with patient prep, transfers, and positioning.
• Inputs patient data into the C-Arm and assists physicians during interventional procedures, maintaining sterile technique.
• Complies with HIPAA, draws up and labels IV medications, and processes/archives x-ray images.
• Manages equipment maintenance, supply inventory, and hazardous waste disposal.
• May serve as Radiation Safety Officer and assist with accreditation surveys.
• Ensures effective communication with physicians.
• Assists with patient billing, verifying procedure charges, CPT, and ICD9 codes.
