Job summary

Memorial Hermann is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiologic film procedures and assist physicians during invasive radiology procedures. The role requires careful adherence to radiation safety and patient positioning, with responsibility for data entry and image quality.

Candidates should have a graduate degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT-R registration, and BLS/ALS certification; Texas MRT licensure is required.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Current license as Radiologic Technologist and ARRT-R registration; Texas MRT licensure required.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS).

Responsibilities

Performs special/invasive radiology procedures on patients ensuring compliance with radiation safety procedures; prepares patients, explains procedures, administers contrast when necessary, positions patients, selects imaging techniques, ensures image quality.
Enters and monitors patient data.
Performs quality assurance on radiology equipment; assists with accreditation processes.
Identifies and reports accidents, equipment malfunctions to department management.
Takes emergency call within the department.
Upholds Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budget and time constraints.
Supports professional growth, acts as mentor and resource to staff.
Demonstrates compassionate, personalized patient experiences.
