Baptist Health System - San Antonio TX in Harlingen, Texas is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our radiology team. Under minimal supervision, you will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, support interventional exams, prepare rooms, operate imaging equipment, and ensure equipment and supplies are ready.

The role also involves maintaining competency and assisting with fluoroscopy, OR procedures, and trauma as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Imaging Program.
• Associate degree preferred.
• 2-5 years of X-ray experience required.
• 1-3 years IR experience preferred.
• ARRT (R) certification required; VI or CI preferred; AHA BLS; state license if required.
• MI Only: AHA BLS; state license if required; VI or CI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under minimal supervision, the IR Tech performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures and provides technical support for interventional radiographic examinations.
• Produces high quality diagnostic radiographs and rotates through advanced areas of diagnostic radiology including OR, Urography, open reductions, myelography, arthrography, and trauma; assists practitioner with fluoroscopy and OR procedures.
• Maintain equipment, supplies and medications; prepare examination rooms and ensure competency per job requirements.

Under minimal supervision, the IR Tech performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. Provide technical support for interventional radiographic examinations. This includes assessing patient condition, operating imaging equipment, preparing examination rooms, and maintaining equipment, supplies, and medications. Perform radiographic exams on all patients, as necessary. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

• Produces high quality diagnostic radiographs, rotates through advanced areas of diagnostic radiology to include OR, Urography, open reductions, myelography, arthrography, placements, and trauma; assists practitioner with fluoroscopy, arthrography, OR procedures and trauma.
  

Education:

• Required: Graduate of accredited Imaging Program

Experience:

• Required: 2-5 years of X-ray experience
• Preferred: 1-3 years IR experience.

Certification:
