Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Washington state is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to assist the Interventional Radiologist during procedures and to prepare the room with all necessary equipment and supplies. You will operate fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities, providing real-time technical support and ensuring adherence to sterile technique and radiation safety.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a hospital-based or college-based radiology program.
• Washington State Certification for Radiologic Technologist and ARRT certification with current registration.
• Current certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology or completion within 1 year of hire; CPR validation.
• Completion of 24 Category A CE within two years.
• Critical thinking, QA assessment, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with highly technical equipment and sterile technique.
• Ability to achieve hemostasis after arterial/venous catheter removal.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Interventional Radiologist during radiographic interventional procedures.
• Prepare patients and the procedure room; ensure equipment and supplies are ready.
• Operate fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities; provide real-time support to the physician.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will provide assistance to the Interventional Radiologist during radiographic interventional procedures, contributing significantly to the operations of the department. You will work within the boundaries set by the standards of the profession and adhere to all State and Federal regulations.

Every day you will prepare patients and the procedure room, ensuring all specialized equipment, imaging systems, and supplies are readily available and properly functioning. You will operate various imaging modalities, including fluoroscopy, providing real-time technical support to the physician.

To be successful in this role, you will possess an in-depth understanding of anatomy, physiology, and interventional radiology procedures, coupled with strong technical proficiency in radiation safety and sterile technique. You will demonstrate superior critical thinking skills, collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary team in high-pressure clinical situations.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduation from a hospital-based or college-based radiology program
• Washington State Certification for Radiologic Technologist and a certificate from the American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT) as well as current registration with ARRT
• Current certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology or successful completion of certification within one (1) year of hire; and current CPR validation
• Completion of twenty-four (24) Category "A" continuing education (CE) within a two (2) year period
• Critical thinking skills; quality assurance assessment skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work with highly technical equipment; extensive product knowledge; a thorough understanding of sterile technique
• Ability to achieve hemostasis following the removal of arterial/venous catheters

Preferred

• One (1) year of experience in Interventional Radiology and/or a minimum two (2) years of experience in Diagnostic Radiology.
• (Preference will be given to applicants who hold national certification in any advanced Radiological modality)

$57.78 - $88.30 / hour
