Position: Interventional Radiology Technologist

Position Purpose

This position is responsible for producing optimal diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care. The incumbent is accountable for individualized patient care in the Diagnostic Interventional Department.

Nature and Scope

The incumbent provides radiology services to Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients and families. Demonstrates the ability to work with patients' physical, motor/sensory, cognitive, and psychosocial needs, meeting quality standards specific to the population served. Operates interventional imaging equipment, verifies and executes physician orders, ensures patient safety, and performs various technical and supportive duties. May work overtime, take call, or assist other modalities within the department or health system.

Minimum Qualifications

EducationAssociate's degree in Radiologic Technology or RCIS, or completion of AMA approved hospital-based program.
ExperienceNo experience required; preference for those with 2+ years as a diagnostic Radiologic technologist or 1+ year with additional training, especially in hospital computer systems.
License(s)ARRT R.T. (R) certification or RCIS, and Nevada Medical Radiography license.
Certification(s)Preference for CV, CI, or VI certifications. BLS required upon hire; ACLS within 6 months.
Computer SkillsAbility to complete online learning and access digital resources within 90 days of hire.
