Job summary

The role requires sterile technique and proficiency with fluoroscopy, CT, and other modalities. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years as a Radiologic Technologist and 2-4 years in special procedures.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• 2-4 years of experience in special procedures or interventional radiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs special procedures and interventional imaging exams using fluoroscopy, CT, or other modalities.
• Verifies informed consent, prepares patients for procedures, and explains steps to promote understanding and cooperation.
• Applies proper positioning and immobilization techniques to obtain diagnostic-quality images with minimal radiation exposure.
• Maintains sterile technique during interventional procedures, including tray preparation, draping, and catheter or instrument handling.
• Assists physicians during procedures by anticipating needs and supporting equipment use and procedural flow.
• Adheres to conscious sedation protocols, including patient monitoring and recovery support.
