Job summary

Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston seeks an Interventional Technologist Level 1 to collaborate with physicians and staff during interventional radiology procedures. You will operate multi-modality imaging equipment, ensure patient safety and accurate documentation, and support various IR sub-specialties across peri-operative and bedside settings.

The role requires ARRT and MA rad tech licensure, BLS within 90 days, and a medical imaging certificate or diploma.

Qualifications

• Medical Imaging certificate/diploma required
• Associate’s degree preferred
• MA state rad tech license required
• ARRT(R) required within 90 days
• BLS required within 90 days
• Advanced Modality Licensure (VI/CV) preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborates during procedures with physicians and senior technical staff.
• Operates complex diagnostic and interventional radiographic equipment.
• Cross-trains and supports IR sub-specialties including abdominal, vascular, neuro, and cardiac procedures.
• Ensures proper patient demographics and documentation for the medical record.
• Delivers patient care under the scope of license and training; maintains aseptic conditions.
• Maintains inventory tracking and prepares equipment and supplies for daily use.

Education

Medical Imaging certificate/diploma

Associate’s degree preferred

MA state rad tech license required

ARRT(R) required within 90 days

BLS required within 90 days

Advanced Modality Licensure (VI/CV) preferred
