Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist I in Winfield, IL. Join a dynamic interventional lab offering a $15,000 sign-on bonus and opportunities across Neuro-IR, Interventional Cardiology, and EP labs.

Graduate radiology technologist with ARRT, IEMA licensure, BLS/ACLS within 6 months and willingness to cover emergent procedures, with on-call availability within 30 minutes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Associate Degree in Applied Sciences.
• ARRT Certification required.
• IEMA Licensure.
• BLS through American Heart Association.
• ACLS through American Heart Association within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of patient care to optimize safety and minimize errors.
• Performs interventional procedure setup, patient prep, procedures, supply management and room turnover.
• Pre-procedure assessment of patient data and providing instructions to patient/family.
• Maintains aseptic technique and assists with sterile table setup and room cleanliness.
• Scrubs in and circulates on diagnostic and interventional procedures with physicians across subspecialties.
• Positions and drapes patient for arterial/venous access and optimizes imaging quality.
• Documents intra-procedural data and post-processes images.
• Assists with staff and equipment coordination, scheduling, and inventory management.
• Provides on-call coverage for emergent procedures and responds within 30 minutes.

Education
