Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IRT) for a PRN position. Under supervision, you will image vascular structures and assist with invasive procedures, while maintaining radiation safety and patient care standards.

You will operate radiographic equipment, support physicians during procedures, and ensure patient conditions are appropriately monitored throughout the workflow.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Licensure from state radiology board may be required.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Image vascular structures using interventional radiology equipment.
• Assist physicians during invasive procedures.
• Maintain radiation safety and patient protection during exams.
• Provide appropriate patient care and monitor conditions during procedures.
