Job summary

UofL Health is seeking an Interventional Technologist to scrub in and assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures. The IR Technologist circulates in the procedure room, procures all equipment, positions patients, and ensures safety and accuracy of imaging.

Ideal candidates will be graduates of an approved Radiologic Technology program, be ARRT registered, hold KY Radiation Operator’s certification, and have or quickly obtain IR Registry within 2 years.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Registered with ARRT required.
• KY Radiation Operator's certification required.
• BLS required.
• IR Registry required within 2 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs in and assists physicians in interventional radiology procedures.
• Circulates in procedure room and procures equipment as needed.
• Position patients and set exposure parameters per protocol.
• Produce and evaluate images for diagnostic quality.
• Maintain radiation safety practices and documentation.
