Job summary

The Interventional Radiology Technologist at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center reports to the Interventional Radiology Supervisor. Under limited supervision, the IR Tech performs imaging of vascular structures and supports physicians during invasive procedures, applying positioning and radiation protection.

Education: graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology. Licensure: ARRT registration and SC RQS licensure; BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Current ARRT registration and SC Radiation Quality Standards licensure.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Imaging of selected vascular structures and therapeutic interventions.
• Assist physicians with invasive procedures and ensure radiation protection.
• Positioning and patient care to support successful procedures.
