Qualifications

• Technical School Diploma Radiology required.
• 2 years general diagnostic radiology experience.
• 1 year interventional radiology experience.
• Ability to possess a high degree of maturity and exercise judgment with patients and equipment.
• Ability to handle medical and confidential information professionally.
• Must maintain a professional relationship with co-workers and medical staff.
• Must be able to work in stressful situations.
• RT - Registered Technologist Radiology - PA and ARRT certifications.
• AHA Basic Life Support within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides post procedure care to the patient (holding pressure, wound care).
• Produces diagnostic-quality images.
• Prepares and labels images for interpretation by the radiologist.
• Assists physician during interventional procedures under fluoroscopy with sterile technique.
• Prepares and administers contrast under supervision.
• Sets up sterile tray and room; preps patient for examination.
• Maintains sterile environment in IR lab and procedure rooms.
• Documents procedure details (LMP, fluoro time, radiologist, etc.).
