Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas West in Nashville, TN is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for Interventional Radiology to provide imaging support on a PRN/day shift basis. You will assist with procedures, position patients, manage contrast, and uphold radiation safety standards.

Qualified candidates hold ARRT Radiography and CCI Cardiographic Tech certifications with BLS; this role involves vascular and nonvascular interventional imaging and close collaboration with Radiologist/PA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• BLS within 1 Month of hire; CPR certification required. CCI Cardiographic Tech credential and ARRT Radiography credential are required prior to hire.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration must be current and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.
• Prepare and position patients and select parameters; administer contrast media and medications within scope and regulations.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and monitor protocols; recommend updates as warranted.
• Perform specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and assist Radiologist/PA.
