St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado is seeking an Interventional Radiology Tech to provide high-quality imaging and patient care within the medical imaging department.

The role includes performing interventional radiology procedures, maintaining ALARA radiation safety practices, and acting as a clinical resource for unit staff to uphold imaging excellence. Successful candidates will hold current IR licensure/certification, ARRT radiology tech credentials, BLS, and ideally ACLS.

Qualifications

• Current interventional radiology licensure/certification.
• ARRT registered radiology technologist (R.T. (R)).
• R.T. (R)(VI) or R.T. (R)(CV) ARRT credentials.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Colorado Surgical Assistant or Surgical Tech Registry required upon hire (for Colorado staff).
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs interventional radiology procedures with precision and safety.
• Produces high-quality images in a timely manner.
• Maintains ALARA radiation safety practices to minimize exposure.
• Prepares patient for exam and provides procedure explanations to patient/family.
• Communicates with physicians, imaging staff, students, and hospital personnel to ensure continuum of care.
• Observes patient and equipment during procedures and documents any unusual occurrences.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Interventional Radiology Tech, you will provide quality patient care within the medical imaging department, performing high-quality images and exams, while serving as a role model and clinical resource to ensure current standards of practice.

Every day you will perform interventional radiology procedures with precision, maintain sensitivity to patient needs, strictly follow safe radiation practices, and act as a clinical resource to unit personnel, upholding the highest standards of imaging excellence.

To be successful in this role, you will possess current Interventional Radiology licensure/certification, exceptional technical skills in advanced imaging procedures, a strong commitment to patient safety and compassionate care, and the ability to serve as a leader and resource within the medical imaging unit.

• Performs imaging procedures, providing safety for self, patients, and all other individuals.
• Practices all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to “as low as reasonably achievable” (ALARA).
• Produces quality images in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
• Prepares patient for exam.
• Provides information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and responds to their physical and emotional needs.
• Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and reports/documents unusual occurrences and records patient’s condition. Communicates in writing and verbally with all physicians, imaging personnel, students, and hospital staff in facilitating the continuum of care.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• Registered Radiology Technologist R.T. (R) (ARRT)
• Registered Radiology Technologist Vascular-Interventional Radiology R.T. (R)(VI)(ARRT) or Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiology R.T. (R)(CV)(ARRT)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
• Colorado Surgical Assistant or Surgical Tech Registry (through the Department of Regulatory Agencies) upon hire unless performing Surgical Assistant duties within the scope of another active Colorado license, certification, or registration (required for Colorado employed staff only).

Preferred

• Associate's Degree
• One (1) year imaging experience
• Advances Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association
