Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced Radiology Leadership role responsible for supervising technologists, coordinating daily workflow, and guiding onboarding and training. This position advances patient care quality and safety through strong supervision and collaboration with radiologists and leadership.

You will oversee compliance with policies, coordinate staffing, and drive quality improvements, while mentoring staff and supporting departmental initiatives in a fast-paced

• Ability to learn and use Radiology software packages such as IDX, Radworks, Current PACS (Required)
• Proficient in supervisory skills including team building, HR functions, and effective communication (Required)
• Attend core leadership development classes (Required)
• Capable of mentoring modality staff with a positive, supportive attitude (Required)
• Supports customer service, patient care and interdepartmental cooperation (Required)

Responsibilities

• Serve as a clinical resource to technologists, students and staff.
• Monitor compliance with departmental policies, safety guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Provide day-to-day supervision of technologists, support staff and imaging operations.
• Coordinate daily workflow and staffing, balance patient volumes and room utilization.
• Assist with onboarding, orientation, and training of technologists and new hires.
• Contribute to performance management and coaching via talent care processes.
• Collaborate with radiologists and leadership to ensure timely, coordinated services.
• Participate in quality improvement, image quality audits and process improvements.
• Ensure equipment functionality and coordinate preventative maintenance.
• Support scheduling, timekeeping and supply inventory to meet budget goals.

Job Description

• Serves as a clinical resource to technologists, students, and other staff.
• Monitors and supports compliance with departmental policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Provides day-to-day supervision of technologists, support staff, and imaging operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
• Coordinates daily workflow and staffing assignments, balancing patient volumes, technologist availability, and room utilization.
• Assists with onboarding, orientation, training, and ongoing competency assessment of technologists and new hires.
• Supports leadership in performance management through the talent care process, performance reviews, and providing coaching opportunities for team member development.
• Collaborates with radiologists, leadership, and other departments to facilitate timely and coordinated services.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives, including image quality audits, repeat analysis, and process improvement projects.
• Ensures proper equipment functionality and coordinates preventative maintenance.
• Participates in scheduling, timekeeping, and supply inventory management to support operational efficiency and budget goals.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to learn and use Radiology software packages such as IDX, Radworks, Current PACS application. [Required]
• Ability to learn and use basic supervisory skills such as team building, all required HR functions and effective communication. [Required]

• Possess the ability to instruct, guide and mentor the modality staff with a positive, supportive attitude. [Required]
• Supports all hospital and administration initiatives for customer service, patient care and interdepartmental cooperation. [Required]
