Job summary

Tennova Healthcare- North Knoxville Medical Center is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care setting. The RN will coordinate care per the nursing process, collaborate with physicians and the care team, and educate patients and families on discharge plans and follow-up.

The role requires 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care, TN RN license, and BCLS certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN licensure in the state where the facility operates (TN preferred) or compact state license.
• BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process and organizational policies.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings.
• Administers medications and monitors for adverse effects per standards of practice.
• Collaborates with physicians and the care team to develop and implement care plans.
• Demonstrates infection control practices and patient safety protocols.
• Documents care and education promptly in the medical record.
• Engages in performance improvement initiatives and staff education.
