Job summary

The Registered Nurse in Diagnostic Imaging at vTech Solution in New York, NY, provides pre- and post-procedural care for interventional radiology patients in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma center. This includes patient preparation, recovery, and overnight observation.

The RN will work within a multidisciplinary team, utilizing strong communication and critical thinking skills to care for both inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan.

Qualifications

• Active New York RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of Registered IR Nursing experience.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
• Telemetry Experience Required

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-procedural preparation for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
• Deliver post-procedural recovery and overnight observation care.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Care for patients boarding overnight pre or post procedure.
