Job summary

University of Kentucky seeks an RN for Enterprise Periop Procedural IR+Endo/Per Diem Pool in Lexington, KY. The nurse will prepare for and recover patients undergoing neuro and vascular procedures, delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care with collaboration among staff and physicians.

Position requires ADN, 18 months RN experience (ICU preferred), KY RN license (or equivalent) and BLS. On-call, day/evening/nights with pool level agreement; deadline 11/03/2026.

Qualifications

• ADN required.
• Minimum 18 months RN experience; critical care experience preferred.
• Active Kentucky RN license, Temporary Work Permit (TWP) or provisional/compact license in good standing; BLS for Healthcare Provider (6+ months).

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and recover patients undergoing neuro and vascular procedures (thrombectomy, thrombolysis, coiling, stenting, angiogram, embolization).
• Provide total, continuous, patient-centered care; document, plan, implement, teach and evaluate care.
• Supervise/delegate tasks to Nursing Care Technicians; ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
