Job summary

Beacon Health Options in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Registered Nurse for Interventional Radiology to support day-shift care. This role emphasizes direct patient care before, during, and after radiology procedures, coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure safety and comfort for each patient.

The RN will base decisions on ANA standards, collaborate with families, and uphold regulatory requirements while maintaining quality patient education and ongoing assessment throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• ALS credentialed by the American Heart Association within 12 months of hire.
• BLS Provider credentialed by the American Heart Association within 30 days.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Michigan within 90 days of hire.
• BSN preferred; Interventional Radiology experience including neurointervention preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the patient and/or family, and healthcare team to identify mutual goals based on the nursing assessment and nursing diagnosis.
• Diagnoses, treats and evaluates the human response to actual or potential health problems/needs.
• Evaluates the outcomes of the nursing plan of care and revises it as necessary.
• Assess, detects, monitors and attempts to prevent complications associated with health situations or treatment plans.
• Notifies the physician of patient condition and response to nursing intervention appropriately and documents this action.
• Responsible for insuring that patients’ pain is assessed, treated, reassessed, documented and evaluated.
• Delegation to other licensed and unlicensed care providers based on clinical nursing judgment and skill of the care provider.
