Job summary

AMI Expeditionary Healthcare is seeking an Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse to support NIH in Bethesda, MD. The contract role involves image-guided procedures, patient assessment, and post-procedure recovery, working M-F with 24-hour call on weekends and holidays.

Requires a BSN/ADN, NCLEX pass, active RN license, and BLS/ACLS. 13-week contract with 7:00 AM–3:30 PM shifts and on-call coverage.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN), Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Nursing Diploma from an accredited program.
Active, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in Interventional Radiology.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing image-guided minimally invasive procedures.
Assist physicians with image-guided procedures, including angiography, biopsies, and vascular interventions.
Monitor vital signs and patient status during procedures and with sedation.
Administer medications and IV fluids as ordered and respond to emergencies.
Post-procedure monitoring and patient education.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in NIH electronic systems.
Ensure infection prevention and patient safety standards.
