Job summary

Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for Interventional Radiology on a full-time dayshift. The role includes 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with IR call after 4:30 pm on weekdays and rotational 24-hour coverage on weekends/holidays.

You will deliver comprehensive patient care using the nursing process, coordinate discharge planning, and participate in quality improvement in a Level 2 Trauma environment. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license for the state of practice.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
• Participate in Interventional Radiology procedures and post-procedure care.
• Coordinate discharge planning and interdepartmental communication.
• Ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance in a Level 2 Trauma setting.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and staff education.
