Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT invites applications for an Interventional Radiology RN. This role supports interventional radiologists during minimally invasive procedures using imaging guidance, ensuring patient safety and quality care.

The position requires an Associate’s degree in Nursing and an active CT RN license, with about 1 year of inpatient Med/Surg experience preferred; IR/ICU/ER exposure is a strong plus. Day shift, full-time with on-call evenings.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Valid RN license in the state of Connecticut.
• Ideal candidates will have 1 year of Inpatient Medical/Surgical Acute Care experience. Interventional Radiology, ICU, or Emergency Room experience is a strong preference.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and Preparation for radiologic diagnostic and image-guided interventions, along with maintenance of sterile fields.
• Administration and monitoring of medications, blood products, and fluids while calculating and documenting dosages, adjustments, protocols, and patients’ vitals during treatments.
• Collaborates with colleagues, physicians, healthcare team members, and the patient and family to ensure safe, effective, and efficient care delivery.
