Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Washington.
• Successful completion of a graduate nurse residency program orientation or six months' experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, guides, directs, and facilitates workflow on the unit.
• Makes staff assignments reflecting patient acuity, continuity of care, and staffing needs.
• Mentors staff and unit personnel regarding policies, procedures and goals.
• Integrates new staff into the unit culture and acts as a clinical resource to the team.
• Monitors nursing care and patient rounds; reports significant events per policy.
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission standards and documentation requirements.
