Job summary

Summit Health is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) to join a small IR team, split between outpatient and hospital settings. This role supports 2 Interventional Radiologists and 1 IR PA, with a focus on minimally invasive procedures and care for Summit Health patients.

Prior IR experience is preferred, but training is provided. Education requirements include a PA degree and New Jersey PA license, plus BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• PA degree required.
• 1-year Interventional Radiology experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• PA New Jersey License required.
• BLS/ACLS certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.
• Ability to perform diverse work assignments with time constraints and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all interventional radiology procedures as directed by IR.
• Injection, exchange and removal of drainage catheters including GU and GI drains.
• Imaging guided thoracentesis and paracentesis.
• Perform vascular access placements and removals including PICCs, Ports, tunneled lines.
• Perform arthrocentesis and joint injections under imaging guidance.
• See new consults in clinic and hospital; arrange follow-up as necessary.
