Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking an Interventional Radiology RN to assess, plan, and care for patients undergoing IR procedures. You will support sedation cases, manage vascular access, and educate patients and families before procedures.

Promote infection control and quality standards, maintain regulatory compliance, and contribute to a positive patient experience through effective communication and teamwork across the radiology department.

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana RN license or temporary permit.
• Interventional Radiology RN Experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Additional Certifications (as applicable by department): MICU ACLS; Oncology Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification; Perioperative Nursing CMSRN or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and care for patients undergoing Interventional Radiology procedures.
• Support and manage sedation cases across radiology and vascular access.
• Prepare patients for procedures with ongoing education for patient and family.
• Delegate tasks within scope of practice and perform necessary follow-up.
• Communicate patient status and key updates through hand-off and escalation channels.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
