Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Special Procedures Registered Nurse for Interventional Radiology, Vascular Surgery and Neurovascular Services. The RN applies nursing knowledge to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care within a collaborative team, supporting patient and family centered care.

Responsibilities include scrub assistance, sterile setup, achieving hemostasis, and ensuring accurate documentation and safety throughout peri-procedural care.

Qualifications

• Two years of critical care experience preferred.
• RN must hold current Ohio license.
• BSN within five years of hire required if not already held.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within six months for step-down and ICU.
• Certification in area of clinical specialty expected within five years.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians as scrub nurse and maintains sterile technique.
• Sets up sterile trays and all specialized equipment for procedures.
• Maintains hemostasis of accessed vessels using compression devices or manual methods.
• Assesses patient safety risks and communicates changes with the care team.
• Documents plan of care and patient response in the electronic medical record.
