Job summary

Mass General Brigham Faulkner Hospital is seeking a per diem RN for Interventional Radiology nursing. You will assess, monitor, and provide care for patients before, during, and after procedures with sedation. Responsibilities include pre-procedure screening and adherence to ICare standards.

The role requires a BSN, MA RN licensure, and 2 years of critical care experience, with ACLS/BLS. Strong IV skills and excellent communication are essential for teamwork and patient safety.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers required.
• ACLS required.
• Excellent IV skills.
• 2 years of critical care experience required.
• Background in Interventional Nursing strongly preferred (Interventional Radiology, Interventional Cardiology, Endoscopy).
• Procedural sedation experience preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Show evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients.
• Ability to demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities.
• Ability to adhere to all I.C.A.R.E. standards.
• Membership in professional organizations is recommended and certification in a specialty area is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients undergoing interventional procedures requiring sedation before, during, and after the procedure.
• Perform pre-procedure phone screening for IN/IR patients.
• Demonstrate initiative, knowledge, and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs.
• Manage patient care planning, implementation, and evaluation under supervision.
• Support Patient and Family Centered Care Model in daily practice.
